WHAT IS OVERFLOW?

Well I'm glad you asked!  But before we go any further I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Allen McConnell and I have the privilege of being the youth pastor here at Covenant Baptist Church.  I have been on staff here for about 4 years and I've loved every minute of it.  I have a wonderful wife, Kelli, and two beautiful children named Alyssa and Elijah.  Absolutely three of the best things in my life!  We truly have a passion for people, but especially for young people.  And our hope is that you and your family will find a place you can serve, grow spiritually, and grow closer to others.  Our hope is that you find a home.

Ok, that's enough of the "mushy" stuff; let's get down to business!  Overflow is The Student Ministry of Covenant Baptist Church in Anderson, SC.  As The Student Ministry our primary mission is to help students become fully devoted followers of Christ.  Week after week students come to our Overflow Experiences and every week students learn about God. This is good, but we long for great!  Great is obtained when students become part of a Godly community.  Great is obtained when students are accepted, encouraged, and a part of something bigger than themselves.  We feel the best way to accomplish this is to utilize the dynamics of small group studies.  Below are a few of our Overflow Group opportunities:

1.  Overflow Wednesday Night Services.

2.  Sunday School.

3.  Leaving 99.

4.  Interpretive Movement Team.

5.  Drama Team.

6.  Youth Choir.

7.  Overflow Home Groups.
